Columbus Apartments is ideally centrally located within Puerto del Carmen, just a minute's walk to the main avenida with all of its bars, restaurants, shops and, of course, the beach! The golf course is within an easy, short drive or taxi ride, with a taxi rank conveniently situated on the main avienda just at the bottom of the road.
Within just a few minutes walk of your apartment, there is everything you'll need for your holiday. At the bottom of the road there is a small supermarket that has all the necessities you would need for your self-catering holiday; there is also a larger supermarket just five minutes walk in the other direction. A part of the small supermarket is a bakery for your fresh, daily bread and which also has a small cafe with a terrace facing out to sea from where you can enjoy a morning coffee and cake.
If you wish to explore the island yourself there are plenty of hire car companies nearby (should you wish, we can recommend a local company that's cheaper than the main hire companies on the Avenida), or you can join one of the many organised excursions; there is an excursion booking company literally just across the road from the complex that we highly recommend. For those less energetic there is also a bike, scooter and mobility scooter hire shop just opposite the complex.
Puerto del Carmen is only a 15 minute drive from Arrecife airport, so you will be at your apartment and ready to start your holiday with no long transfer. To get to the complex you can either hire a car from one of the many hire companies at the airport, pre-arrange a transfer, or just take one of the many taxis that are always at the airport.
